Crystal Leigh
Crystal Leigh is a tech worker by day and a writer of contemporary romances with social agendas by night (and weekends). She’s on the board of Romance Writers of the Rockies and is RWR’s 2025 Volunteer of the Year. A member of the 2027 cohort of Stanford’s Novel Writing Certificate Program, she’s currently querying her sapphic, feminist, Formula 1 romance.
Guest appearance on:
Susan Poole
Meet Susan Poole—a storyteller whose road to publication is every bit as twisty as the moral grey zones she loves to write. After nearly a decade of honing her craft, she released her debut novel Out of the Crash with The Wild Rose Press in 2025. Fun fact: it was the third book she finished—proof that persistence (and maybe a dash of cosmic luck) really does pay off.
A mother, lawyer, nonprofit exec, and cancer survivor, Susan pulls from a life that refuses to fit into tidy categories. Her brand? Exploring the messy, complicated spaces where real life actually happens.
She’s currently cooking up a modern twist on Fried Green Tomatoes and revising an earlier manuscript to see if it’s ready for its comeback tour.
Susan lives in Cleveland with her husband, their three grown kids out in the world, and two extremely codependent dogs.
